My story

My name is Valentina Giusti and I’m from Montevideo, Uruguay. I just finished a coding bootcamp which is a short-term, full-time intensive training program that teaches practical and job-ready tech skills with around 600 hours of theorical-practical lessons.

I discovered a new passion for programming last year during the covid lockdown, specially for front-end design, and I’m now looking for my first web-developer job experience.

I love travelling and meeting people from around the world! I’ve been lucky to travel and lived abroad one year in Italy. I’m fluent in english, italian and spanish, and know the basics of portuguese.

Coding skills

Front-End

Layout design of your page with HTML, CSS, Sass and JavaScript(E6). For more complex websites I also use React.js. Web sites 100% responsive.

Back-End

For the Back-End I use Node.js, with a relational database (MySQL) or a non-relational one(MongoDB).

UX/UI

I am currently doing a UX/UI design course to improve the user experience in my web applications.

My projects

E-commerce created with React.js, Redux, Node.js, MySQL. This was a team project, two other partners and me finished it in 3 weeks. We used SCRUM, Trello and Discord to organize the development of the page, were each week was a Sprint.

The development of this page lasted one week, with a few details corrected after the Bootcamp ended. This project was developed with React.js, making calls to The Movie Database API to obtain information about the movies.

Design Skills

Illustration and page layout

Layout design of the project with Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.

3D Model and rendering

I can use AutoCAD 3D, SketchUp or Revit to model the project. Then with Twinmotion I add materials and environment to create a realistic render image. With Photoshop I retouch the final details.

Real life models

I design projects that can adapt to real-life-environments. I draw the construction plans on AutoCad, and from there I extend to other technologies and representation according to the size of the project.
